
Staff and students had fun kicking off March is Reading Month last week at the Hillsdale Community Library. We want to give a huge thank you to our Staff Engagement Committee for planning the event and the Library for hosting us.










This 4th grade student was excited to share his Xtra math score. This is a website where students practice their math facts and have to answer rapidly to show mastery. Awesome job! Keep up the good work.

We are so excited to see you at the Hillsdale Public Library for a fun evening celebrating reading and kicking off March is Reading Month!! Come out from 5:30-7:00pm and bring your friends!!
Students brought home a reading log on Tuesday and can begin logging minutes for so we can begin working toward our Reading Incentives! We've got lots in store for we celebrate and encourage reading! We look forward to seeing you tonight!



Mrs. Medrano's kindergarten and first grade students read a book about George Washington last week. They then wrote important facts about the first president.

A favorite thing in Miss Taylor's classroom is labeling parts of speech. The 2nd and 3rd graders love being sentence detectives.

4th grade students had a blast celebrating Valentine's Day last week.



Miss Taylor's 2nd and 3rd graders are working on completing their animal research project. They started out by selecting their animal, then completing a planning sheet, and have now started researching their animals.

Every morning in Miss Taylor's class the students complete a set of XtraMath Facts. This student answered each question in under 6 seconds!

The 5/6 grade students enjoyed getting to try water pie during their lesson on the great depression.



These kindergartners are doing an excellent job writing in Mrs. Medrano's class. Today, they worked on writing about their favorite color!

This first grade student is a hard worker! He has especially been working hard on strengthening his reading skills to become a rockstar reader. He has a cheerful attitude and always looks on the bright side. Keep up the good work!


Hillsdale Prep is excited to have someone from MSU Extension coming in to teach the students a Health & Nutrition Course. The course is being taught one day a week for the next several weeks. The students are enjoying learning about forming healthy habits.



4th grade students had fun building an energy transfer device in science.




Hillsdale Prep has Candy Grams for sale. Order forms were sent home with students yesterday. Extra order forms are available in the office.
