On Friday we have an awards ceremony starting at 11:00 in the gym. After the ceremony students will be sent back to class and then dismissed. All students need to be picked up from their classroom by 12:15. Families are welcome to join us back in the gym for a free bbq following the ceremony.
All lunch accounts will be closed today. If you owe money a slip is being sent home today. If you had money left over the change is being sent home. If your child wants to order milk or Subway next week they will need to bring money with them to school.
Mrs. Medrano is looking for a couple volunteers to come in on Tuesday (June 4th) to help hang decorations for the K and 8th graduation. If you would be interested and willing to help out, please let her or Miss Melody know!
Friendly Reminder: Tomorrow is casual day
Due to torrential rains and water in the lower building, ALL students will dismiss from the front building out of the main door by the office. Dismissal will begin at 3:05 to accommodate the additional cars in the front drive way. PLEASE DO NOT PARK YOUR VEHICLE IN THE FRONT DRIVEWAY TO ENTER THE BUILDING for any reason!
The after school program will be CANCELLED today, 5/30. However, if you are unable to make other arrangements, please call the office at 517-437-4625
Thursday the 30th will be our field trip to Sauder Village all permission slips need to be in by tomorrow. Also, parent chaperones are still needed in order for us to go. I have eight students as of now who have not turned in their forms and when they do will not have a ride if we do not get more Chaperones.
Very Respectfully,
Mr. Fowler
The Spring Concert is on Friday, May 31 at Michindoh Camp & Conference Center. We emailed a letter home on Friday with detailed information about the event. A hard copy of that letter is being sent home today. It is also posted on our website. If you have any questions regarding the concert feel free to contact Miss Bethany.
Hello Parents! This Thursday, May 16th is parent appreciation day. Student Council will be providing coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and donuts for you when you are dropping your children off. This event will run from 7:30 - 8:15 a.m. Feel free to bring your own travel mug and fill it up inside. We’re thankful for all the hard work you do in school and out!
Best staff ever! We appreciate your dedication to AWESOMEness!
Hello parents! Student Council is holding another event. For the next two weeks, we will have a Penny War starting Monday the 10th. It is a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help research cures for blood cancers and to help families through the process of treatment and recovery.
To win the Penny War you have to have the most money in your jar. The only positive money is pennies, anything else is negative. You can bring in nickels, dimes, dollars, etc… which will count against the class you put the money in. If you put a dollar in a different classes jar then they go down 100 pennies. If you put a dime in another classes jar they go down 10 pennies. So you’ll want to put as many pennies as possible in your jar and as much silver/green in the other classes jars. Kids will be able to fill their jars during lunch and the winning class of the penny war will get an ice cream sundae party so best of luck!
Let the Penny War begin!
Banquet dinner tickets will be sold tomorrow and Friday during dismissal. Bring your cash or check to buy your tickets! $25 for dinner at 5:00 on 5/18, auctions and raffle to follow.
Friendly Reminder: Re-enrollment forms and surveys are due by the end of the school day today.

On Saturday, May 18 Parent Council is hosting the first annual Golf Scramble. A flyer with more information about the event is coming home today. Following the golf outing there will be a banquet dinner with a silent auction. You do not have to golf to attend the dinner. Dinner tickets are available for $25.00 in the office. Parent Council is in need of hole sponsors and donations for the auction. Sponsor letters are available in the office if you know a business that is willing to donate. They are also putting together baskets for each classroom to donate. On the back of the golf flyer is information about each classroom theme. If you are able to donate something for the basket please give the item directly to the classroom teacher. We are really excited about this event and appreciate the support necessary to make this event great.
